Hyderabad’s cinema landscape is set for a major upgrade as the upcoming AMB Victory multiplex at RTC X Roads is set to feature IMAX with Laser technology.
According to information available to Hyderabad Theatres, the premium large-format auditorium will utilize IMAX XT Laser Projection and support the IMAX 1.90:1 presentation format, bringing one of the world’s most advanced cinema experiences to the heart of Hyderabad’s movie district.
The development marks the return of the IMAX brand to RTC X Roads, a location that has long been regarded as the cultural center of movie-going in the city. A recently installed hoarding at the venue prominently showcases the “IMAX with Laser” branding along with the tagline “Homecoming of Immersive Cinema.”
IMAX with Laser is known for delivering enhanced brightness, improved contrast, sharper image quality, and a wider color spectrum compared to conventional digital projection systems. Combined with the 1.90:1 expanded aspect ratio available in select IMAX releases, the format offers a more immersive cinematic experience for audiences.
The arrival of IMAX at AMB Victory is expected to further strengthen Hyderabad’s position as one of India’s leading cinema destinations, joining the city’s growing lineup of premium large-format theatres.
