Welcome to HyderabadTheatres.com (“we”, “us”, “the site”). These Terms of Service explain the rules for using the site, creating an account, and posting reviews, screen reports, photos, questions and answers. By using the site or creating an account, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.
1. What the site is
HyderabadTheatres.com is an independent guide to cinemas, screens, seats and movies in Hyderabad. We are not affiliated with any theatre, cinema chain, ticketing platform or film studio. Ticket booking happens on third-party sites such as BookMyShow and District; their own terms apply there.
We work hard to keep screen sizes, technology, prices and other details accurate, but cinemas change things without notice. Information is provided “as is” and may be incomplete or out of date. Please check with the theatre or ticketing platform before you rely on it.
2. Your account
- You must be at least 18 years old to create an account.
- Give accurate information, including your name and date of birth, and keep your email address up to date.
- You can sign up with an email and password, an emailed sign-in link, Google or Apple. Keep your password and sign-in links private; you’re responsible for activity on your account.
- One account per person. Don’t impersonate anyone or create accounts for others.
- Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access to your account.
3. Reviews, reports, photos, questions and answers
The site is built on what moviegoers share. When you post anything, you agree that:
- It is based on your own genuine experience. Reviews and screen reports should be about a visit you actually made.
- You are not paid, rewarded or employed by the theatre (or a competitor) to post it. If you have a connection to a theatre, don’t review it.
- Photos are your own, taken by you, and don’t show other people’s faces in a way that identifies them without their permission.
- It contains no hate speech, harassment, threats, obscenity, personal information about others (like phone numbers or addresses), spam, advertising, links or anything illegal.
- It does not infringe anyone’s copyright, trademark or other rights. Don’t post movie footage or recordings made inside a cinema.
Everything posted is checked before it appears. We may decline, edit for length or formatting, or remove any content at our discretion, and we may exclude reports from ratings when they don’t meet these rules (for example, a review written before a theatre opened).
4. Your profile and what’s public
Your reviews, screen reports, seats you sat in, photos, questions, answers, badges and the name you choose are shown publicly on the site and on your reporter profile. Your email address and date of birth are never shown publicly. See our Privacy Policy for how we handle your information.
5. Permission to use what you post
You keep ownership of what you post. By posting, you give HyderabadTheatres.com a free, non-exclusive, worldwide, ongoing licence to display, reproduce, adapt (for example, resize a photo or show an excerpt) and share it on the site, in search results, and in our social media and newsletters, with credit to the name on your profile. This licence ends for content you delete, except where it has already been shared or is needed for legal reasons.
6. Things you must not do
- Post fake, paid or coordinated reviews, or try to manipulate ratings or leaderboards.
- Copy or scrape the site’s data, screen specifications or content in bulk, or use automated tools to access it, without our written permission.
- Try to break, overload or get around the site’s security, rate limits or moderation.
- Use the site for any unlawful purpose.
7. Suspending or closing accounts
We may suspend or delete accounts and remove content that breaks these terms, without notice. You can stop using the site at any time and ask us to delete your account by emailing us.
8. Third-party links and services
The site links to ticketing platforms, maps, theatre websites and others, and shows advertising. We aren’t responsible for those sites, their content, prices, bookings or policies.
9. Limitation of liability
To the extent allowed by law, HyderabadTheatres.com is not liable for any loss or damage arising from your use of the site, from information on the site being inaccurate or out of date, from content posted by other users, or from bookings or visits made using third-party services.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The date at the top shows the latest version. If you keep using the site after a change, you accept the updated terms.
11. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any disputes are subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts in Hyderabad, Telangana.
